Halloween CelebriGays: Lukas Gage and Chris Appleton

READ TIME: 3 MIN.

Lukas Gage got the jump on Halloween this weekend with his husband Chris Appleton. The couple went out as Beetlejuice, while Appleton was The Joker.

The pair shared their photos on Instagram.

Gage first came to the public's attention after a snafu with a casting director over his Los Angeles digs, which the casting director dissed Gage as a "poor person" living in a "tiny apartment." Gage responded: ""Psa if you're a shit-talking director make sure to mute ur shit on zoom meetings," Gage wrote when posting the video."

What did get him attention was a scene from "The White Lotus" in which co-star Murray Bartlett was seen rimming Gage. He later shared his fondness for rimming to Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live." He told Cohen the scene was his idea. "It was my idea," Gage told Cohen. "Yeah, I thought we should normalize rimming.... I think that, like, ass eating needs to be talked about more. In the script it was sex, and I – we've seen sex on TV, let's have some ass eating."

Speculation about Gage's sexuality came full center earlier this year when he was seen vacationing with celebrity hairdresser Chris Appleton in Mexico. At first, Gage was reluctant to go public about his sexuality, telling the New York Times: "If [people] want to think that, they can. I'm a pretty open book about most things in my life, but I have a problem with the culture of everyone needing to know everybody's business and nothing can be sacred. It's a weird line that I'm still trying to figure out."

Appleton confirmed that they were dating on "The Drew Barrymore Show," after which they were married and Gage shared their announcement on Instagram.

Why Gage chose Beetlejuice and Appleton chose The Joker was not explained, nor did they share where they were partying.
