Watch: Trailer for Gay Romance 'Queer' Starring Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey is Finally Here
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
The first trailer for Luca Guadagnino's upcoming gay romance film "Queer" is finally here.
Starring Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey, the sensual trailer released by A24 finds the two men drifting in and out of bars and other beautiful locations in 1940s Mexico City. Of course, there are moments when the pair are wrapped around each other; the trailer promises the film to be another sexy gay romance like Guadagnino's "Call Me By Your Name."
Based on the semi-autobiographical William Burroughs short story of the same name, the film will hit theaters on Nov. 27. Variety has a more detailed description of the plot, writing that it centers on "William Lee (Craig), an American expat living mostly in isolation among American college students and bar owners. He becomes infatuated with a discharged American Navy serviceman, Eugene Allerton (Starkey), a drug user who eventually becomes involved with Lee after initially being indifferent to his advances."
Out pop singer Omar Apollo also stars in the film, along with Jason Schwartzman and Lesley Manville.
Starkey recently opened up about filming the sex scenes in "Queer" with Craig, sharing that he was "nervous." Read more about that here.
