NYPD Sketches Suspects in Chelsea Anti Gay Attack

NEW YORK - The NYPD has released sketches of two suspects wanted in an anti-gay bias attack in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood.

Police say the incident occurred just after midnight Tuesday when two men approached the two male victims, one in his 20s and the other in his 50s.

Police say anti-gay statements were made and the men were assaulted. Police say four other men joined in on the attack. Police say the victims were able to use their cell phones to call the police. They say the six men then fled the scene of the attack.

Police say the two victims were released after being treated for minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
