Stars of the Broadway musical "Camelot" praised the approach Aaron Sorkin took with the Lerner and Lowe musical at the show's Broadway opening Thursday night (13APRIL) in New York.

Former "Hamilton" star Phillipa Soo, who plays as the medieval queen Guinevere, called the process 'fulfilling.'

"At the core of this story about changing the world and finding democracy in a world of chaos, at its core, there is a love story and a love triangle that is nuanced and gray," she said.

Andrew Burnap, who stars as King Arthur, described working with Sorkin as collaborative.

"It was always trying to strike a balance, all of us. And it was very much best idea in the room wins, so it was great," he said.

And having Soo as a scene partner was a bonus.

"The best. The greatest. I get to fall in love with her every night for a job – easy. Easiest job in the world," he said.

Jordan Donica stars as Sir Lancelot on the other side of the love triangle.

"He's one of the great writers of our time. So, it was a great learning experience for me," Donica said.

"Camelot" is currently playing at the Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center.
