Lil Nas X laid bare another side of his artistry with the recent release of "Industry Baby," and the song further pushed Nas X into the spotlight as a pop star with a political purpose: the gay agenda.

The "Industry Baby" video, featuring a segment where Nas X dances naked in a prison shower, was met with a mix of praise and pans from critics. Expecting a reaction, Nas X took issue with more than a few homophobic comments and made pains to point out the double standards he faces as a gay rapper.

Putting it bluntly about the conspiracy of a "gay agenda," Nas X tweeted:

As reported by Complex, political commentator and noted homophobe Boyce Watkins took issue with Nas X in a homophobic tweet by saying the rapper "isn't fighting for gay rights."

"He's marketing the sexual irresponsibility that's causing young men to die from AIDS," Watkins, who's also previously promoted anti-vaxxer ideas, said. "Being gay is one thing, but being a super spreader is another. There's nothing healthy or helpful about that video. Especially for children."

Nas X was quick and direct in his reponse in calling out blatant hypocrosy: "Y'all be silent as hell when n***as dedicate their entire music catalogue to rapping about sleeping with multiple women," he said. "Y'all hate gay ppl and don't hide it," he added.

Love it or leave it, Nas X is having a much-deserved moment fueled by talent and tough topics. Watch his "Industry Baby" music video, featuring Jack Dorsey, below and tell us what you think in comments.
