Rising Recording Star Steve Grand Returns to New Orleans at Cafe Istanbul on Saturday, October 14

Thursday Sep 7, 2017

Producer Mark Cortale announced today that he will present rising music star Steve Grand at Cafe Istanbul in his anticipated New Orleans return, for one show only, on October 14 at 8:00 pm.

The announcement comes on the heels of Grand's successful two-month summer run at Provincetown's Art House theater, which Mr. Cortale has lead to international renown under his leadership there as Producing Artistic Director since 2011.

Steve Grand has recently enjoyed over 10 Million views on YouTube and a #3 Album on The Billboard Independent Album Artist Charts. After debuting at Provincetown's Art House during the summer of 2016 for three performances, he returned to the venue's star-studded lineup this past summer for a full two-month run. His first of many self-funded music videos, "All-American Boy" tells the story of unrequited love between two men, and took the internet by storm when it was released. It lead the openly gay artist to be lauded as a trailblazer in the entertainment world. Touring internationally and across the country over the past two years, Steve has also made appearances on "Good Morning America," CNN, "Larry King Now," and other national outlets where he has used his platform to advocate for Human Rights and LGBT Equality.

Career highlights are already lining up for this young star. He had the #3 most funded music project in Kickstarter's history with over 5,000 backers. His first full-length album was released in March 2015 on his own label, Grand Nation, LLC, and debuted at #47 on the Top 200 Chart and # 3 on the Billboard Independent Albums Chart. His video "All American Boy" has had over 5.5 million views and made Buzzfeed's list of the "24 most brilliant music videos" from 2013. Out Magazine named Steve Grand on their 2014 "Out100" list of the year's most compelling LGBT people.
