Real World's Dustin Zito and his porn past

In the MTV bio for 24 year-old Dustin Zito, a member of the Real World Las Vegas cast, it is reported that after high school he "accepted an opportunity in Los Angeles to be a cast member on a web site that featured an uncensored look at a house of attractive guys living together. It's something he has kept secret until now, but has come to Vegas, to be open about it and hopefully put it behind him."

That piece of Dustin's past is his porn alter-ego named Spencer and his involvement with the web sites Fratmen.TV and FratPad, which streams videos of hot young guys living together in LA, who also on occasion have gay sex on camera. He was said to be involved with the site for four years.

Scrubbed web content

Bunim/Murray Productions, the company that films "The Real World," is said to have known about Zito's past. Internet reports of it began to crop up last November and re-emerged after the show's March 9 premiere. And say that that FratMen.TV has scrubbed most of the web content that featured him.

Also missing are the numerous YouTube videos featuring Zito's commentaries about his past experiences.

But the web being the web, it didn't take long for sites to find screenshots of Zito during his stint with FratMen.TV, which show him with a hard-on, being embraced by an another house member and jerking off with another.

While Bunim/Murray acknowledge Zito's past (at least indirectly), they did not when they first released bios of the Las Vegas cast. "Originally from a small town in Louisiana, Dustin grew up with a bi-polar, drug addicted mom and an abusive step-dad. Although he was constantly shuttled between parents, relatives and various friends' houses, Dustin worked hard to maintain relationships with his family. Dustin is known by his friends to be a highly competitive guy who sometimes uses his southern hospitality and good looks to win attention from the ladies."

All were straight

It was also a secret, according to the Huffington Post, he kept from his roommates on the show. But on the first episode during a game of "never have I ever" (where the housemates reveal to each other secrets from their past), Dustin admitted having sex in a hot tub, having a three way, and kissing someone of the same sex.

This led to a sequence where his porn past was revealed to the public, including his casting interview where he said about getting involved with FratMen.TV: "High school was over and I was like, all of the people were going to college, I don't know what I wanted to do, so I did a webcam thing."

He went on to explain that "none of the models are gay; it was a job for me, that's strictly a job." And added, "For me, it's such a big deal for me to be judged; I'm scared at this point to open up."

Whatever his past, it didn't keep him from making out with Heather later in the episode, which was followed with footage from an earlier interview where he wondered: ""There's still this secret that I'm hiding. And if we develop a relationship, I know I gotta tell her. And am I prepared for that?"

Not that having a porn past is any longer a disadvantage on reality television, but usually they pursue a porn career after they leave whatever show they're on. The most famous in adult male circles is Steven Daigle, who has gone onto starring in features for most of the major porn studios.

But Zito's case is different in that he's straight (at least that what he says) and has, as MTV so coyly put it " hopefully put it behind him." Not until, though, the Real World will milk it for whatever it can to boost the show's ratings.
